*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic seasoned barista who excels in crafting (hand selected) ceremonial matcha, expertly preparing espresso beverages, and working with top-tier coffee equipment. Prepare and serve ceremonial matcha with precision, maintaining authentic techniques and presentation standards
Brew high-quality espresso drinks using top-level commercial espresso machines and equipment
Operate and maintain advanced coffee brewing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness
Engage with customers to provide personalized service, answer questions about beverages, and recommend menu items
Manage cash handling transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
Support food preparation tasks as needed, including light food service and café operations to ensure smooth workflow

*Requirements*

Proven experience as a barista with expertise in ceremonial matcha preparation and espresso crafting
Strong knowledge of high-end coffee equipment operation and maintenance
Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales transactions
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods seamlessly
Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
Knowledge of food safety regulations, food handling, and basic math for cash register operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in the food industry or retail math proficiency is preferred

A little extra info:We're looking for our first hire. Our backbone. We need you to know the coffee game inside and out. The more successful we can be, the more successful you'll be. Once full time we'll look into profit share and more, but for now, we need to at least get known.
