- Preparation of bid packages.
- Analyzes and evaluates proposals.
- Selects or recommends subcontractors.
- Performs price analysis and negotiations.
- Performs PO documentation and placement.
- Performs invoice reconciliation and payment.
- Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
- Works with program and other areas of the business including risk management, resolution of contract issues and development of second sources.
- Manages commodities with moderate complexity and high volume of purchase requisitions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience / combined education
- Experience with supply chain activities and/or the procurement of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components and hardware within defense industry.
- Negotiation experience
- Working knowledge of standard contract types
- One or more years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR one or more years with a Master's degree.
- Working knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as LMAP and thorough knowledge of FAR/DFAR acquisition policies
- Commercial Item Determination - CIRB experience
- Excellent verbal, written and organization skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Project management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Advanced communication skills and a customer focus
- Experience with sole source justifications
