- You’ll consult with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
- You’ll develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.
- You’ll coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- You’ll monitor project timelines and deadlines.
- You’ll identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in a timely manner.
- You’ll evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports. Must be able to provide Earned Value analysis
- You’ll accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
- You’ll recommend actions to keep project timelines and deadlines on track.
- You’ll document project scheduling processes and maintain records.
- You’ll develop and provide project schedule related reports including schedule quality assessments, earned value, cashflow forecasts and risks.
- Bachelors degree in business or technical field.
- 5- 8 years related scheduling experience, or in lieu of bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 9– 12 years relevant scheduling experience is required. Must show demonstrated experience with cost and resource loading schedules.
- Ability to build a schedule from an estimate, project diagram, or verbal scope of work.
- Demonstrated experience with portfolio level scheduling
- Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques.
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
- In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the utilities industry.
- Advanced ability to evaluate schedule quality, project progress and facilitate interventions.
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.
- Experience and proficiency in using PC software and mainframe computer applications such as Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project, Asset suite 8, Primavera P6.
- Ability to work flexible hours and in field construction sites.
- Must possess good written and oral communications skills and have proven analytical experience.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgement, and solve problems.
- Able to demonstrate business acumen and communicate effectively across multiple levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to work with project schedule stakeholders to ensure timely schedule updated are received.
