Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtechThe Manufacturing Engineering Manager oversees the technical aspects of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production operations. They lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement process improvements to achieve organizational goals.Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor manufacturing engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering professional development.
- Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure safety standards.
- Defines and recommends engineering objectives; develops short- and long-range goals by participating with management in the decision process.
- Work closely with R&D, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to facilitate seamless operations. Acts as resource and point of communication between engineering and other functions within the organization.
- Oversees/lead engineering projects related to new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and process validations, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Stay updated with emerging manufacturing technologies and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency.
- Bachelors Degree is required. Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
- Experience preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Experience in supervisory responsibility is required.
- A working knowledge of relevant GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 14971
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with leadership roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
