- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and other relevant regulations.
- Service lighting, intercom, and control systems.
- Program and configure VFDs; diagnose and resolve PLC issues.
- Perform work on 120V, 220V, and 480V systems.
- Maintain and connect emergency generators and transfer switches.
- Work with electrical substation systems and in confined spaces.
- Test systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools.
- Respond to emergency calls and cover staff absences as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and correct deficiencies identified in inspections.
- Electrician diploma from a certified technical college.
- Valid Electrician License issued by the Puerto Rico College of Electricians.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
- Ability to handle tools and equipment with both hands.
- Ability to walk, climb, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 60 lbs.).
- Good vision (near, far, depth perception, color recognition, and focus).
- Frequent work in adverse weather conditions or confined spaces.
- Occasional exposure to moving parts, moisture, strong odors, fumes, and risk of electric shock.
- Work at heights and in confined areas such as wells, tanks, or measurement stations.
- Moderate to high noise levels in the work environment.
