Electrician

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC and other relevant regulations.
• Service lighting, intercom, and control systems.
• Program and configure VFDs; diagnose and resolve PLC issues.
• Perform work on 120V, 220V, and 480V systems.
• Maintain and connect emergency generators and transfer switches.
• Work with electrical substation systems and in confined spaces.
• Test systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools.
• Respond to emergency calls and cover staff absences as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and correct deficiencies identified in inspections.

• Electrician diploma from a certified technical college.
• Valid Electrician License issued by the Puerto Rico College of Electricians.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair.

• Ability to handle tools and equipment with both hands.
• Ability to walk, climb, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 60 lbs.).
• Good vision (near, far, depth perception, color recognition, and focus).
• Frequent work in adverse weather conditions or confined spaces.
• Occasional exposure to moving parts, moisture, strong odors, fumes, and risk of electric shock.
• Work at heights and in confined areas such as wells, tanks, or measurement stations.
• Moderate to high noise levels in the work environment.
