Company OverviewOur client, leader in the industrial equipment industry with more than 50 years of establishment in Puerto Rico and LATAM. You are looking for a Project Manager.Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop Project Plans: Collaborate with project stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements. Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks and issues. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential challenges and minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate Project Activities: Coordinate project activities and resources, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and managing dependencies to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables. Foster collaboration and communication among project team members to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, calendars, detailed budgets, and scope documentation. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to project stakeholders as needed.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate project status updates, progress reports, and key milestones to stakeholders and team members. Facilitate regular meetings and discussions to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
  • Support IT Platform Implementation: Support the implementation of new IT platforms and technologies by coordinating with IT specialists, vendors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that implementation activities are executed according to plan and meet quality standards.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and determine opportunities for improvement. Use evaluation findings to enhance future project planning and execution processes.
  • Other Related Functions: Perform any other related functions not previously outlined, as directed by supervisors or required to meet the objectives of the position and the needs of the company.
Education & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Possess a bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field to demonstrate a foundational understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience: Have 4+ years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the IT or heavy machinery rental industry, showcasing the ability to lead and manage projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Software: Demonstrate proficiency in using project management software to assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies: Demonstrate knowledge of various project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile and Waterfall, to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables efficiently.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategies and results to staff members at all levels of the organization, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Be fully proficient in using the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to create project documentation and reports.
  • Customer Service Experience: Have proven experience in a customer service-driven culture, demonstrating the ability to understand and meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Be fully bilingual to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members in both English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to Travel: Be willing and able to travel island-wide and abroad when required for project-related activities.
  • PMP Certification (Preferred): Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, demonstrating advanced project management knowledge and skills (preferred).
