The Consumer Collector calls customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment or obtain loss mitigation (workout) agreement or secure the asset via Voluntary Repossession or Deposit.What you'll do
- · Mails form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- · Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
- · Makes direct contacts with delinquent account customer.
- · Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
- · Orders repossessionor recommends placement to the field, agency or attorney.
- · Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account.
- · Reviews account for possible loss mitigation options, offers the possibility to the client, and refers the client to the Loss Mitigation Workout Unit.
- · Skips traces customer to new address by inquiring at post office, questioning references/neighbors or via any leads that may come up via the credit bureaus or other creditors.
- · Attempts to repossess merchandise, such as automobile, furniture, and appliances when customer fails to make payment.
- · Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field is required for this position
- · 1 - 2 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
- · Good verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish.
