Project Engineer - Capital Projects

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and at least five (5) years of experience supporting engineering departments within the Pharmaceutical Industry or GMP facilities.
• Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish (verbal/written).
• Experience in:

• Construction and complex industrial facilities. Including safety elements.
• Familiarity with Utilities and building systems common in GMP facilities (mechanical, electrical, process utilities) and their impact on both safety and operations.
• GMP‑regulated or pharmaceutical environments during construction activities.
• Coordinating construction in or near live production environments, including shutdowns, tie‑ins, and work in controlled areas.

• Provides day‑to‑day, field‑focused construction leadership on an active GMP manufacturing site, ensuring that construction activities are planned and executed in alignment with AbbVie’s standards, regulatory requirements, and site operations.
• Acts as the primary interface between the general contractor, PM, and site operations, integrating construction with GMP manufacturing expectations, and proactively identifying and controlling risks at the construction/operations interface.
• Strong presence in the field to verify that work methods, permits, and controls are implemented as planned and adjusted in real time as site conditions change.
• Ensures construction work respects GMP constraints (cleanliness, segregation, utilities, shutdowns, etc.)
