*Overview:* We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Behavioral Management Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role involves working closely with non-human primates to enhance their well-being through behavioral management and enrichment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare, skilled in behavioral observation, and able to design and implement behavioral enrichment programs.*Key Responsibilities:*-Design, test, and monitor the use of behavioral enrichment devices for non-human primates. Ensure devices are prepared and implemented in a functional, safe, and effective manner. Conduct regular observations to assess primates' use and response to these devices.- Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor the well-being and activity of non-human primates. Identify and report any behavioral concerns or patterns that may need intervention.- Assist in the creation of primate social pairs and groups. Code and document behavioral observations related to social dynamics and interactions.- Assist in implementing the environmental enrichment program across occupational, sensorial, and nutritional domains.- Ensure that the program aligns with best practices for non-human primate welfare.- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of environmental enrichment devices and supplies.- Monitor and address atypical behaviors, implementing behavioral management techniques to promote species-typical behavior.- Work with a multidisciplinary team to support the overall behavioral health of the primates.- Practice and apply positive reinforcement training techniques to manage and encourage desired behaviors in non-human primates.*Qualifications*:Candidates *must* meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:

*High School Diploma* with a completed course in laboratory animal research and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.

*Associate's Degree* with a technical specialization in Biology and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

*Bachelor's Degree* in Biology or a related field (no prior experience required).

- Experience working with animals or in an animal care setting is highly desirable.- Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and positive reinforcement training.- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced research environment.- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.- Knowledge of occupational, sensorial, and nutritional enrichment for non-human primates is a plus.- Strong communication and documentation skills.*Language Requirements:*

Proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required.
