Offering opportunities for the development of various skills.DescriptionMaintains records of goods ordered and received. Locates suppliers and interviews to determine product availability and terms of sale. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders. Control the purchasing department budget. Review purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with company policy.Responsibilities:- Procure merchandise of the highest quality at the lowest possible price and in the correct quantities.- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services.- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and supplier reputation and track record.- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.- Monitor and comply with applicable laws and regulations.- Monitor shipments to ensure products arrive on time and, in case of problems, track shipments and follow up on undelivered products.- Consult with staff, users and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods and determine corrective action.- Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, delivery, product performance and inventories.- Study sales records and inventory levels of current stock.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in purchasing department, in the same industry preferred.
  • Previous experience in planning, negotiations, and agreements.
  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity and respectfully challenges others.
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems.
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
  • Fully bilingual Spanish and English; read, written, and spoken.
