- Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals.
- Conduct regular site visits to observe and verify construction activities for compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports, including photographic documentation and written analysis of progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Support the Project Manager and design team in resolving field issues by providing accurate technical observations and data.
- Monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards at the job site.
- Maintain well-organized records of correspondence, reports, Requests for Information (RFIs), applications for payment, submittals, and punch lists.
- Participate in project meetings and assist in coordination with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering (preferred candidates will hold an Architecture degree). Candidates currently completing a degree program will also be considered.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or AIT (Architect-in-Training) status preferred; professional licensure is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and project documentation.
- Prior experience in construction inspection, project management, or construction administration (field observation of building projects) strongly preferred. Ideal candidates have a 2 to 5 year experience.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with design/project management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Procore, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong technical ability to understand and analyze architectural and engineering documents.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and support senior professionals.
- Services will be provided under a Professional Services Contract.
- This position requires regular site visits, including walking on rough terrain, climbing ladders, or accessing scaffolding. Also, the personal protective equipment will be required to be used when in construction sites, including hard hat, reflective vest, safety boots, and other PPE as needed.
