- Provide training and support to the end user community and fellow team members on computer operations and other areas as needed.
- Maintain operating systems, backups, and server hardware.
- Liaise and provide assistance to other IT functional areas as needed..
- Respond to calls, email, and personal requests for technical support for the end user.
- Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
- Recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
- Must possess excellent teamwork abilities; be able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure; possess good judgment, initiative and good attitude. Solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity.
- Must speak English and Spanish fluently.
- Be able to maintain knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Ability to communicate technical terminology to the user community in a way they can relate to and understand.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn website content management tool for backup purposes and system management tools.
- Must know how to work with AIX, IBM P Series, CISCO, VMWARE, DBA, Fortinet and/or CCNA Certification.
- Experience configuration of Microsoft and UNIX server platforms and network components, including Cisco switches and router.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience setting up PCs and server hardware.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.
