The accountant revises the daily transactions processed by the Business Unit or Department; verifies accounting information monitors and reconciles the general ledger accounts of the department.Essential Responsibilities· Analyzes and performs accounting entries on Oracle.· Reviews and ensures accuracy of accounting entries process through batch posting.· Reviews and ensures balances outstanding on In-transit accounts are investigated and processed within 2 days.· Attending internal client inquiries, including transactions investigations.· Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.· Monitors accounts daily movements and refers to management when appropriate.· Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures· Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in accounting entries, documents, and reports.Other Responsibilities· Contributes to the Department team effort, achieving additional results as needed.· Develops and runs special projects as requested by supervisor.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilitiesImpact of ErrorsThe impact of errors of this position could affect essential activities of administrative, operational, or business nature that have a considerable economic impact.Competencies· Interpersonal communication skills· Analytical Skills· Mathematic skills· Accounting knowledge· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing systems and filling· Computer and Excel proficiency· Teamwork ability orientation· Write, speak, and comprehend English and Spanish· Customer service oriented· Available to work flexible schedules, extended hours, holidays and weekends
