Job Description:Job Summary:Drive Cost Reduction initiatives for the global manufacturing sites, enhancing the financial health of an organization by identifying, implementing, and managing cost-saving measures across various aspects of the business.Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Analyze and identify areas within the organization where cost-reduction measures can be implemented
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the feasibility and potential savings of proposed cost-reduction measures
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and redundancies. Make recommendations for improvements to equipment and operating procedures to improve productivity.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions that can streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of adopting new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with financial teams to develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement strategies to reduce material costs without compromising quality.
  • Monitor and track cost reduction progress and report findings to senior management
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to cost-reduction strategies
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with cost-reduction initiatives
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with cost reduction strategies.
  • Maintain documentation of cost reduction initiatives and their impact.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on cost reduction achievements and future plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of cost-reduction measures
Travel:Able to travel 30% of the time.Responsibilities:QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of organizational processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to coach less experienced staff and technicians.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization and outside partners. Must be able to give clear direction, communicate expectations, and provide feedback.
  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects within the varying demands of a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
  • Project management skills to plan and execute cost reduction initiatives effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of QSR regulation / Good Laboratory Practices (GLP, part 58) and GMP / Safety regulation (OSHA)
  • Computer literate.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Experience in maintaining documentation and preparing reports for management.
  • Experience in supervising technical personnel performing product, process, and/or materials development activities.
  • Understanding and experience in managing risks associated with cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Experience in driving a culture of continuous improvement within an organization.
  • Experience leading or contributing to cost-reduction projects.
  • Experience in driving a culture of continuous improvement within an organization.
Education:
  • BS Engineering
  • Six-Sigma or Lean 6-Sigma certification is strongly preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing certification is strongly preferred.
