- Responsible for processing receipts & shipments; putting away and storage of components and supplies; expediting any in-transit shipments.
- Conduct scheduled and nonscheduled inventory counts to ensure the availability of products.
- Coordinate the cycle count process and inventory reconciliation with each area material specialist, based on SAP output. This includes both scheduled and non-scheduled and consignment counts. Review cycle count reporting with the appropriate MFG area. Investigate documentation issues as needed.
- Prepare and publish weekly, and monthly reports on inventory levels as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Work with Pilot Locations to ensure SAP accuracy.
- Manage the EE&O process as it relates to the transaction and disposal of this material.
- Manage the disposition of expired raw materials and support the process of revision changes within the plant.
- Manage and dispose of hazardous waste materials in corresponding hazardous waste areas as needed. Clean tools, equipment, and components per documented procedures.
- Examines shipment containers at the time of receiving for any damage, and verifies the accuracy of information listed on the packing slips, invoices, and freight bills by opening the packages and visually inspecting the contents. Execute the SAP transactions or any required transaction at the point of receipt.
- Transports material (e.g., production and non-production materials) upon request, using a forklift, pallet jack, or truck to the designated location.
- Receives outgoing shipments from internal customers and packages items using the appropriate materials (e.g., cardboard boxes and packaging tape) to properly prepare items for shipment.
- Records shipment information using the carrier service's systems and methods (e.g., Federal Express, UPS) for shipping traceability.
- Support warehouse improvement activities. May be asked for additional responsibilities by the supervisor.
- Associate degree or related business or technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in warehouse or inventory monitoring (at least 1 year).
- Ability to perform routine and some non-routine assignments using standard methods and sequences. Makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements to set processes as directed. Assignments require limited judgment in troubleshooting proven processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
