NTT DATA's Client is currently seeking a Pentaho BI SME to join their team in San Juan, Puerto Rico.Job Description:
Looking for Pentaho BI Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 15+ Yrs of designs, develops, and optimizes ETL processes experience using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle) and creates analytical reports/dashboards via Pentaho Reporting (PRD) and BI Server. They must possess expert-level SQL skills, data modeling experience, and capabilities in handling complex data transformations, performance tuning, and system integration.Key Responsibilities
ETL Development: Design, build, and maintain complex ETL jobs and transformations using PDI (Spoon) to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, APIs).
Reporting & Analytics: Create, deploy, and manage interactive dashboards and pixel-perfect reports using Pentaho Report Designer and the BI Server. Crystal reporting experience is required.
Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and fine-tune ETL jobs and SQL queries to enhance data loading and reporting performance.
Data Modeling: Design relational and dimensional data models, including schemas (Mondrian) and metadata definitions.
System Administration: Manage Pentaho BA Server configuration, security settings, user roles, and scheduling.
Consulting & Support: Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting, documenting best practices, and mentoring junior developers.Required Technical Skills
8+ years of experience in Pentaho Suite: Deep expertise in PDI (Spoon), Pentaho Report Designer (PRD), and BA Server.
5+ years of experience in database & SQL: Extensive experience with PL/SQL, complex SQL queries, and database optimization (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Data Integration: Proficiency in data warehousing concepts, ETL design patterns, and Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms.
1 to 3 years of technology Stack: Familiarity with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive) and cloud storage (S3).Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Extensive experience (usually 10+ years) as a BI Developer or ETL Engineer, specifically with Pentaho and Crystal reporting.About NTT DATA:
