- Monitor and analyze security telemetry. Investigate and respond to alerts to mitigate potential threats.
- Serve as the point of contact for high-risk vulnerabilities and security occurrences. Be able to document breaches, assess damage, and lead recovery efforts.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate flaws in the systems infrastructure.
- Maintain and test an Incident Response Plan to ensure rapid containment and recovery during security events.
- Audit the security posture of in-house developed and third-party software to protect against exploits and unauthorized data access.
- Provide guidance for new IT projects, ensuring compliance with core security principles. Review project goals to identify potential risks.
- Assess third-party vendor security risks and ensure all integrations meet security requirements.
- Audit user permissions across all corporate programs to ensure only the least privilege is assigned.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the organization remains in compliance with IT security standards.
- Collaborate with management to assess audit results and implement necessary infrastructure adjustments to defend against emerging threats.
- Manage data classification standards to ensure sensitive corporate and employee information is handled correctly.
- Provide ongoing security awareness training to employees, translating complex technical risks into actionable best practices for a non-technical audience.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/ Computer Science or related
- 3+ years of experience in an information security or IT auditing role.
- Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish..
