- Must dominate the pastry station.
- Ensures all food and preparation of their stations are ready for every shift.
- Ensures all pastries are prepared by recipes designated by the supervisor.
- Responsible for complete set up, cleanliness and organization of the Pastry station before every shift.
- Cleans preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
- Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
- Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor.
- Completes safety training and certifications.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals.
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
- Hospitality oriented
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role in a hotel o restaurant. (Min.1 year)
- Pastry certifications, preffered.
- Technical pastry knowledge
- Able to handle difficult situations effectively
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure
- Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift-up to 60 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have good communication skills in Spanish and English.
