- Be responsible for your safety as well as that of your co-workers, complying with the Environmental Health & Safety expectations.
- Assure compliance with the policies and procedures of the company, including but not limited to the Red Book and the quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Report any process discrepancy, procedure, or specification (product or process) immediately.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate management level when necessary following plant's Notification to Management (NTM) procedure.
- Participate in internal and external regulatory inspections as required.
- Lead efforts and/or participate in assuring that the area is always ready for a regulatory inspection, including that documentation complies with standards and that opportunities related to housekeeping and facility fit and finish are identified, reported, and corrected.
- Complete assigned trainings (Learning Plan should be always 0% overdue).
- Develop and revise procedures as required and participate in efforts to assure that practice matches procedure.
- Complete Quality and EHS projects, including Quality and EHS plan items.
- Participate in DMS (Daily Management Systems) Huddle and weekly Flow team/staff meetings. Could serve as the Flow Team Agenda Planning facilitator. Participate regularly in process team meetings to provide support to the Manufacturing Associate Director and Process Team members.
- When required (and per delegation procedure), in the absence of the Associate Director-Manufacturing Operations provide continuity to the Process Team activities and operational aspects of the process; escalate issues to the Senior Director-Manufacturing Operations as needed.
- Develop and present improvement strategies for the Process Teams, influence the decision-making process at the Flow Team level.
- Serve as leader or facilitator of others key teams that directly support the Flow or site initiative.
- Support the Manufacturing Sr. Directors and Process Teams/Flow during the process of developing a business plan.
- Responsible for facilitating the delivery of the manufacturing plan for the assigned product. Will facilitate the delivery of operators’ daily tasks to ensure production plan is met.
- Support and coordinate the production floor to ensure the delivery of process validation activities for the assigned product and the production plan of key initiatives.
- Develop, gather, and publish Flow Team metrics. Support process teams and flow on preparing trends analysis for those metrics out of target. Make periodic reports on the state of production and the results obtained.
- Lead or participate in campaign changeover or major shutdown planning and coordination.
- Lead or participate in productivity projects, including implementation and sustainment of Lean concepts.
- Identify and resolve issues in the production process to improve efficiency.
- Lead and motivate production areas to achieve the expected results.
- Lead or participate in process improvement efforts.
- Participate in and/or lead Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis on an ad hoc basis (special efforts, complex investigations etc.)
- Use, teach, and coach others in the use of appropriate Project Management tools to continuously improve planning and execution performance.
- Support the prioritization process for the building and support resolution between Process Teams for shared resources.
- Oversight of RPM process; Provide coaching, and feedback to Process Teams to ensure standardization.
- Support the development and drive the Operational Excellence Roadmap for the Flow, RTO (Ready to Operate), RPM (Routing Process Monitoring), MSOE (Manufacturing Standards for Operational Excellence) related activities….).
- Act as user representative for projects taking place in the Flow, including acting as the representative of the user, assisting with scheduling and maintenance liaison with Flow, and operational readiness activities, as needed.
- Support PvP (Practice vs Procedure) activities as needed to ensure consistent execution by the process teams; this may include tracking and oversight or participation in resolution activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or related support areas preferred; previous leadership/supervisory experience helpful.
- Travel within and outside Puerto Rico and the Unites States.
- Work as a resource in other areas of the business, based on business needs.
- Provide support to a 24/7 operation when required (irregular hours, shifts rotation, weekends, holidays, emergencies).
